Private, beginner-friendly firearm lessons for Allen residents — taught in a judgment-free environment where everyone is welcome.
Allen families take safety seriously — it’s half the reason people move here. If there’s a firearm in your home (or you’re considering one) and you’ve never had real instruction, a single private lesson closes that gap: safe handling, safe storage, and the confidence that comes from actually knowing what you’re doing. No ego, no pressure, no politics.
Lessons are held at RifleGear Range in The Colony — about 20 minutes from most of Allen, straight down Sam Rayburn Tollway. From Watters Creek, Twin Creeks, or the Allen Event Center area, it’s one road most of the way.
We start off the firing line: how the firearm works, the four safety rules, and exactly what the range will feel like. Then hands-on — grip, stance, sight picture, and controlled first shots at your pace. Couples and parent groups are common from Allen; a lesson for two runs about an hour with everything provided.
