Private firearm safety lessons for Plano residents, held at RifleGear in The Colony. Start with the basics, ask your questions and learn at a pace that works for you.
You do not need experience or your own firearm. Come on your own or book with someone you know. Every session starts with safety and what to expect before you step onto the range.
Meet at RifleGear, 4001 State Highway 121, The Colony, TX 75056. Plan your route from your part of Plano and allow for traffic.
You'll start with a relaxed safety walkthrough — how a firearm works, how to handle it, and exactly what to expect on the range. Then it's hands-on, one step at a time: grip, stance, sight picture, and your first controlled shots on paper. Most first-timers are shocked at how quickly the nerves fade once someone explains everything without talking down to them. Sessions run 60–120 minutes and everything is included in the price — no gear to buy, no hidden range fees.
Lessons take place at RifleGear in The Colony, at 4001 State Highway 121. Travel time depends on where you start in Plano and the traffic that day.
Private lessons are $119 for one person or $169 for two, with loaner handguns, ammunition, targets, eye and ear protection, and range fees all included.
It's the whole point. Most students arrive having never touched a firearm. Sessions are private, the pace is yours, and nothing happens on the range before you understand it.
