For an original Texas LTC application, DPS currently lists standard processing at approximately 60 days. That is separate from the time you spend completing training and arranging fingerprints. An incomplete application or a request for more background information can extend processing.

There is no single guaranteed start-to-finish date. Allow time for training and appointments in addition to application processing.

Follow the current application instructions, submit the required materials and respond promptly if DPS requests more information. Fingerprint appointment availability can also affect your overall schedule.
